Blue Bach productions is a niche company with a strong interest in stories which explore cultural and human identity. We have strong experience within Maori communities. We have made documentaries that explore our identity in NZ. We attempt to break down the stereotypes.
We are committed to making quality films which reflect the cultures and landscapes of Aotearoa
Blue Bach Productions Ltd is a professional Film & Television Production company which operates from Sunny Otaki Beach on the Kapiti Coast, 1 hour north of Wellington.
The reasons for basing the company in Otaki are many and include it being the tribal home of Managing Director, Libby Hakaraia (Ngati Kapumanawawhiti, Ngati Raukawa, Ngati Toa Rangatira, Te Ati Awa); Otaki Beach is awe inspiring; away from the maddening crowds; broadband technology allows instant communication anywhere and so on. Our work takes us around the country and overseas. The sanctuary of Otaki allows us to complete projects to the highest possible quality.
Recently Blue Bach Productions successfully completed the fifth series of the iconic game show It’s in the Bag which involved a crew of 33 and to date has visited 71 small towns around NZ.
Blue Bach Productions is able to offer the following technical and human resources
